Carpet Cleaning In Winter
You may think that spring is the best time to get your carpets cleaned. It may seem counter-intuitive but wintertime is the best time to get the job done!
Your carpets have likely taken on excess moisture and tracked in salt and sand over the season. You may think to wait until that last snowflake melts but here's why now is the perfect (and best) time:
Spending as much time as we do indoors during the winter, you want good indoor air quality. When you think that our windows and doors are shut tightly over the winter to keep the warm in, it means we're trapping any dust, allergens and possibly more dangerous contaminants. Since you and your family are inside a lot of the time when it's cold all of that could be a detriment to your health as your indoor air quality deteriorates faster.
In the wintertime the process from cleaning to drying is considerably shorter. Washed carpets tend to dry faster during the colder months because the humidity is much lower. This means you don't have to wait hours for your deep cleaned carpet to dry, and the sooner a carpet dries the less likely it is for any mold or bacteria to accumulate.
Despite this, many people still prefer to have their carpets dealt with during the spring and summer. That's okay! But if you want a faster turnaround from when you call to make the appointment to when we actually come to do the job, winter is really the best time to get it done.
